FORGE FENCING MAKES HISTORY WITH INAUGURAL BULL CITY FENCING TOURNAMENT AT NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL UNIVERSITY

Durham, North Carolina – Forge Fencing, a local leading fencing organization, is thrilled to announce the Bull City Y8 – RYC – RJCC fencing tournament will be held at North Carolina Central University (NCCU), a distinguished Historically Black College or University (HBCU). This historic event marks a pivotal moment in USA Fencing, as it is the first regional fencing tournament to take place on the campus of an HBCU.

The tournament is scheduled to take place on October 14-15, 2023, at North Carolina Central University, located in Durham, North Carolina. Forge Fencing, known for its commitment to fostering fencing excellence and inclusivity, is honored to host this event on the prestigious grounds of NCCU.

“We are beyond excited to host the Bull City fencing tournament at North Carolina Central University,” said Jen Oldham, Owner of Forge Fencing. “This event represents a historic milestone for USA Fencing, and we are immensely proud to be a part of it. North Carolina Central University provides a wonderful setting for this tournament, and we look forward to a weekend of spirited competition and camaraderie.”

Participants and spectators alike can anticipate an exceptional tournament featuring young athletes showcasing their talent, determination, and sportsmanship. The Bull City Y8 – RYC – RJCC fencing tournament will bring together fencers from across the region to compete in the Foil, Saber, and Epee events.
