Forge Fencing is proud to announce Cathleen Randall and Erica Julien will represent Team USA at the 2025 Veteran Fencing World Championships this November in Bahrain. Accompanying them will be coach Stephen Pashby.
Cathleen Randall — Veteran 60 Women’s Foil
A former varsity fencer for Duke University’s Women’s Foil Team, Cathleen Randall has been a lifetime fixture on the national fencing scene. Competing in both foil and saber, she brings deep competitive experience and technical expertise to the strip.
Her standout performance at the 2025 USA Fencing Summer National Championships, where she earned the silver medal in Veteran 60 Women’s Foil, secured her place on this year’s world team.
Beyond competition, Cathleen serves as a coach and is the Travel Team Coordinator for Forge Fencing and is also board chair of WFencing, an organization dedicated to advancing women’s leadership in the sport. Bahrain marks her first appearance on the world stage as part of Team USA - a milestone achievement!
Erica Julien — Veteran 70 Women’s Épée
For Erica Julien, the world stage is familiar ground. She was a key member of the 2017 Veteran Women’s Épée Team that captured the gold medal and World Championship title in Maribor, Slovenia. She earned an individual bronze medal in 2017 as well.
Erica competes nationally across foil, épée, and saber. Known for her dedication, drive, and commitment to lifelong learning, she continues to inspire her peers and teammates alike through her passion for growth—both on and off the strip.
Coach Stephen Pashby
Guiding Forge’s fencers in Bahrain will be coach Stephen Pashby, our lead foil coach at Forge Fencing. A competitor himself in both foil and saber at the national level, Stephen brings strategic insight to his role in developing Forge’s high-performance athletes and his steady presence. He will support Randall and Julien as they represent both Forge and the USA in Bahrain this November.
The 2025 Veteran Fencing World Championships promise an exciting week of competition, camaraderie, and global fencing excellence. Connecting with our global community through sport is a core Forge value, and we couldn’t be more proud of our Forge representatives as they take their passion, skill, and sportsmanship to the international arena.
