Summer Fencing Camps

Discover the thrill of fencing this summer!

Located in downtown Durham in a state-of-the-art facility, Forge Fencing promises a summer filled with challenge, growth, and enjoyment. Our professional coaches are dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment that fosters love for the sport and personal development.

Parents love our programs because camp activities support psychological, physical, and emotional development. We pride ourselves in our ability to balance fun at camp while creating an environment fostering internal motivation.

That's why our camps are so highly rated and our return rate is so high.

My boys (twins age 9) did a week of fencing summer camp and loved it! The instructors were patient and intelligent in the way that they guided a high-energy group of kids with time for fencing, play (that worked on other coordination skills), and down time so they weren't completely frazzled by the end of a long day. I also really appreciated the coaches awareness of building character, self-control, and respect through the whole experience. We will definitely be coming back for regular lessons!

Learn to Fence Camps

Begin Your Fencing Journey

Our "Learn to Fence!" camps are perfect for beginners and new fencers with less than 6 months experience. Engaging activities help participants learn the basics of fencing, enhance their coordination, and build competitive skills—all in a supportive and fun environment.

The camp is active, with a wide array of activities, games, fencing, and non-fencing activities which develop coordination and competitive skills that support any sport.

Equipment use is included in the camp fee. Campers often are learning about themselves, how their bodies work, and the intellectual and competitive skills through the ancient art of swordplay.

Students provide their own lunch & snacks, we take care of the rest. Camp drop-off is between 8:45-9:00am daily. We provide complimentary after care for the camp and offer a pickup window between 4:00pm and 5:00pm.

Not Sure If Your Child Is Ready For Fencing Camp?

Please feel welcome to visit our community, and take advantage of our 10 Day Trial membership.

Learn to Fence camps do not require any previous fencing experience, and we provide all the gear. Students do need to be able to follow instructions, comply with safety prompts, and work well in small groups. Fencing camp requires a high level of positive engagement, cooperation, and resilience skills in learning new things.

Please note, these camps are physically active. Your child is going to experience potentially new movement patterns, muscle soreness, and feel challenged. The excitement of learning something new or connecting to a lifetime activity sport is rewarding and our community is extraordinary! Welcome to Summer 2024!
