Forge Fencing Teams is proud to host the 2024 Bull City Regional Youth and Junior Circuit event on Saturday and Sunday, September 28th & 29th, 2024. Events will feature Youth-8, Youth-10, Youth-12, and Youth-14 and Junior events in foil, epee, and saber styles of Olympic fencing. We are expecting 400 athletes with over 551 event registrations. Forge Fencing kicked off the 2024-2025 fencing season with the 14th annual Big Blue tournament. The 2024 Forge BIG BLUE Tournament is the perennial NC fencing “season starter” competition. We came together as a community to celebrate the new season and compete for a chance to have the winner’s name added to the perpetual trophy. Historically, the “blues” honor North Carolina’s NCAA teams: Duke and UNC.

Forge Fencing Academy concluded its first season of the re-launched Priority on Youth Tournament Series on June 3rd and 4th. Athletes from across North Carolina came to Durham to compete in Foil, Epee, and Saber in a variety of age categories. This event was the fifth in a series of events designed to promote youth fencing development in NC. The finalé event featured 48 athletes representing 4 different clubs from across the state. With excitement, Forge Fencing announces the return of the Big Blue, a local USA Fencing-sanctioned open event for all Olympic fencing weapons and Y-12 events for youth fencers.  The Big Blue was established in 2008 and was last hosted by Mid-South Fencers’ Club in September of 2019.

Join us as we welcome Gabe StClair to Forge Fencing for a special session of Taiji (Tai Chi). Gabe will be leading the Taiji sessions on Monday mornings beginning April 4th and concluding on May 23rd. Classes run from 10am until 11am, no prior experience is necessary. Class is open to the public.
