Forge Fencing was thrilled to welcome the Holderness Family into our facility to film their segment “Penn vs. Future Olympians.”
As many know, the Holderness Family are online content creators, known for their award-winning comedy sketches, original music, song parodies, and weekly podcasts. Their videos have resulted in over 2 billion views and over 9 million followers. Penn and Kim are also winners on The Amazing Race (Season 33) on CBS and New York Times Bestselling authors.
To help showcase our team, and at least give Penn a fighting chance, we sent in our youth Travel Team fencers to introduce Penn to fencing. Indraa Soman and Jacqueline Halley did an outstanding job showing him the basics of foil, and also displayed their competitive intensity when it came time to fence.

Abe Kaplan was on the scene to teach Penn about parafencing and share his journey towards making the 2028 ParaOlympic Games as a member of Team USA. Penn got to learn about how the parafencing chairs and specialized frames work, as well as the speed and intensity of parafencing bouts.

Our youth saber team of Franklin and Cadel wrapped up Penn’s visit with a glimpse into the fast paced action of saber fencing. Cadel helped coach Penn on what makes saber different from the other weapons, and Franklin showed him that size doesn't matter if you have confidence to attack.
