Why Fencing?

With all of the options available to you and your family, why should you consider fencing?

Values-based learning helps to develop personal skills needed to become a responsible member of society. Children and young adults can put these values into practice outside school and off the sports arena by becoming engaged with their communities and making well-informed decisions, while respecting and being attuned to others and the environment. Being involved in sport can help foster self-confidence, encourage an active and healthy lifestyle and give us all a better understanding of our rights.

This place has it all for youth, adults, and veterans. If you want diverse training, unique fitness options, and meeting great people, start at Forge Fencing Academy and Club. Never tried fencing before? It doesn't matter! This club has classes for everyone!

Why Fencing?

  • Joy of Effort
Young people develop and practice physical, behavioral, and intellectual skills by challenging themselves and each other in physical activities, games, and competition.
  • Fair Play
Fair play is a sports concept, but it is applied worldwide today in many different ways. Learning to play fair in sport can lead to the development and reinforcement of fair-play behavior in one’s community and in life.
  • Practicing Respect
When young people who live in a multicultural world learn to accept and respect diversity and demonstrate peaceful personal behavior, they promote peace and international understanding.
  • Pursuit of Excellence
A focus on excellence can help young people make positive, healthy choices and strive to become the best that they can be in whatever they do.
  • Balance Between Body, Will, and Mind
Learning takes place in the whole body, not just in the mind, and physical literacy and learning through movement contributes to the development of both moral and intellectual thinking.
